Dear Clinton College Community,
This communication is to address an important federal executive order and provide clarity on its potential
impact on Clinton College. Earlier today, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), in the Executive
Office of the President of the United States, announced a temporary freeze on federal funds. We understand
this may cause concern, and we want to reassure you that Clinton College is staying informed and prepared as
we learn more about this decision.
The good news is our federal student aid is not affected. According to Acting OMB Director Matthew Veath,
Pell Grants, Federal Student Loans, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG), and
Federal Work-Study programs will continue as usual. This means there is no immediate impact on student
financial aid, and our semester will continue as planned.
We will continue our research efforts to determine whether this order will affect our Title III and TRIO
programs and will provide updates as we learn more. However, our state funding through the HEEEP budget
is not impacted by this federal decision.
Clinton College’s leadership team is closely monitoring this situation, and we will keep you informed as more
